11:29 pm - GIMMICAL✰IMPACT!! Ugh it's nearly midnight and I haven't written anything today. Uhm... uhmm... quickly now...
THIS POST IS NOW OFFICIALLY ABOUT "GIMMICAL✰IMPACT!!".
So Aiji's hair just became even more amazing, Maya became cuter, and Aiji does a rap-sing-thing with Maya in "Chemical King-toon", which sounds really nice due to the difference of their voices. The guitars are still here, the DJ is still here, the electronic is still here, and the feeling like you've just swallowed one of those glowy sticks and ten tons of candy is still here. Every new thing LM.C comes out with I love, which is saying a lot. I usually start out loving a band, only to be disappointed two years down the road when their music seems like they're only producing it to meet demands. LM.C still has the heart, the creativity, and the "Wow, I see why they can't give themselves a genre other than 'experimental electronic rock'". I love GIMMICAL✰IMPACT!! just as much as I did Glitter Loud Box, possibly even more. My favourite has to be "JOHN". The song sounds like it is about me (about a boring nerd with a vivid imagination), it's catchy, it has Mario sound effects, nifty guitar solos, and makes me feel cheery every time I listen to it. The video is quite captivating. I've got it in high-res on my computer, and I have to say that watching it on YouTube is almost insulting now.
The only frustrating thing for me is now that I've decided on a theme for my website, I kind of want to change it, thanks to being inspired by the colours used in LM.C's videos. They make me feel happy and creative, which is perfect for my website. Maybe next year...

11:56 pm - Press button. Receive bacon. Creative writing prompt: If you had a custom ATM machine made for you, what would it dispense instead of money?
My answer: Bacon.
... well that was lame. Especially considering there are already bacon dispensers in most public restrooms across the country. They're always broken when I get to them though, they only shoot air. Seriously, everyone. Don't be greedy. One piece of bacon is all you get.
In the infamous words of Lakota during our road trip: "Why would you want bacon in the bathroom anyway?" In the infamous words of Meredith during same trip: "Nuh-uh! Does it seriously make bacon come out?...... No, you're lying!"

01:34 pm - Just a quick thought Something that has been bothering me for quite some time is the page count of the [originally given to Light] Death Note, or any of the notes in general. Light never runs out of pages. Do they regenerate? I mean, he's not even worried about running out of pages. And Mikami doesn't seem concerned about running out of pages, you'd think of all characters, he'd be the one who'd worry about that. He uses up an entire page every night. Plus the notebooks don't even look that thick to begin with. What happens if a shinigami runs out of pages? Do they get another book from the king guy? It doesn't seem like it would be that easy to get a new one, considering Shidoh had to follow Mello around to get his Death Note back.
I suspect this contributed to my insomnia last night. I kept thinking of this and thinking, "Get out of bed and write this down" and then, "No, I need to sleep." Current Mood: indescribable

10:19 pm I'm supposed to be writing an entry every day for the next month, but today I'm not feeling it. So it looks like I'm going to write about nothing . I have to write, no matter what it's about.
I got a very bad cut on my left index finger last night. Playing guitar this week should be interesting...
Speaking of guitar, I've been trying to learn "Otherworld" of FFX fame and it's kicking my butt. It's really not that hard, it's just that my hands are so small, and I can't figure out part of the guitar solo (so I made my own up). I've seen people on YouTube play it, and during that specific part I can't get, they are using both hands on the neck, so I'm thoroughly lost.
This blog, "Once Upon a Win" from the people who brought us "I Can Has Cheezburger" is truly a blog of wonders. Lately I've been feeling like an old fart. It scares the hell out of me that the younger generation has never experienced the joy of scratch and sniff stickers. I keep scrolling down on this blog and going, "OMG I remember those! I miss those!" Remember Pound Puppies? Jim Henson? Big Wheels? Lite Brite? Bill and Ted?
Kids these days with their cell phones and iPods and electronics. I remember having a Walkman that was bright yellow and only played AM and FM radio. I remember fighting with other kids over the View Master. I remember actually playing Cops and Robbers.
I sound like I'm three times my real age O_o.
There I did my writing for today. Somebody pat me on the back.

11:07 pm - The "serious church moment" BGM chord At practice on Saturday night, we were playing some song that had C2 in the progression. I always just cheat and play C. But this time Brian said he wanted the feel that C2 has for that particular song, and so he had to teach Payton and me how to play it. When I strummed it softly, I had a revelation.
"Wait! This is THAT chord!" "What?" "You know. That chord. The chord music ministers finger pick on their acoustic while they say something important and deep. Usually between songs, when they want to tell you the meaning of the next song, or why we take communion, or as a segue into a prayer." "... What are you talking about?"
I was shocked he didn't know, because I've SEEN HIM DO IT BEFORE. So I demonstrated. Then Payton agreed with me. Brian still thought we were dorks.
So on Sunday, Payton and I were up on stage as Brian started to bust out a minimessage. We look over at each other... And Payton says, "The God Chord!" Cheeky smirks on our faces, we began lightly finger-picking C2.
C2. The serious chord I can no longer take seriously.

07:24 pm - Things off the top of my head I'm Googling for the heck of it (All lower-case, no quotes, for as many results as I can get. It's vaguely interesting. I'm bored and in a creative slump, and I was hoping to alleviate both issues with this activity.)

06:54 pm - Uncanny Valley... wait didn't we talk about this last time? So they're trying to "leap" over the valley, and it's pretty impressive. Yeah.
I just got off from work and I am beyond exhausted. I'm sure there is some kind of huge, obvious, and completely stupid mistake in this tiny post. I'm just too tired to notice right now. I'm'a go lay down. Or take a hot bath. If I were a smoker, I'd totally go have a smoke right now or something. Current Mood: sore

05:31 pm - Uncanny Valley The closer a n inanimate object (robot, etc.) comes to resembling a human, the more repulsive we find it. This is the Uncanny Valley. So I ask you-- if a person closely resembles a doll, is that also Uncanny Valley? Or would that be Reverse-Uncanny Valley? And CAN a human reach Uncanny Valley?

11:52 pm - A sad regret When Tracy was cutting my hair, I wish I would have shouted, "ATTENTION DUELISTS! My hair is being assaulted!"
I guess I'll have to grow my hair to my butt all over again just so I can do that.
